BREEAM International New Construction

With the exception of the UK and other nations having a national BREEAM program, serviced residential and non-domestic buildings around the world are evaluated for sustainability using the BREEAM International New Construction standard. The framework offered by BREEAM International New Construction enables the delivery of high-performing, sustainable newly constructed assets with favourable effects on the environment and society.

Energy, transport, pollution, materials, water, ecology and management are among the nine categories that are measured by a BREEAM Assessment. Key sectors have obligatory standards. After that, the building receives one of five ratings. The goal of BREEAM is to strike a balance between a building’s environmental performance and the requirement for a secure and healthy interior environment.

SRE is licensed to carry out BREEAM International New Construction, BREEAM UK New Construction, BREEAM UK Refurbishment & Fit-Out and BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment Assessments. To assist with the assessment process, we also offer a variety of technical BREEAM reports including Building User Guides, Life Cycle Assessments, Thermal Modelling, Post-Occupancy Evaluations, Indoor Air Quality Plans, Sustainable Procurement Policies and Daylight Calculations.
