Burgess Park Care Home is being proposed to replace the existing NHS care home on the site and provide modern, purpose-built dementia care facilities for both NHS and private healthcare residents. As part of the client’s design team, SRE has been advising on the delivery of the exacting planning permission and performance standards for the new care home in relation to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and 35% improvement in CO2 emissions. In addition, SRE has provided a Sustainable Procurement Plan, Thermal Comfort Analysis (TM52), LZC Feasibility Study and Dynamic Energy Modelling. Through early stage engagement and excellent co-ordination with the design team, SRE has provided both technical and performance related advice in support of a successful planning application addressing the London Plan and London Borough of Southwark’s robust sustainability policies.
