The construction of a new multi-purpose 2-storey kitchen, dining room and educational space for Eaton House School, all whilst the school remained open and operational. SRE advised the project and client team about BREEAM and sustainability and energy standards for the new building, so that it delivered the planning condition and client requirements for BREEAM NC 2014 ‘Very Good’ and 25% offset in CO2 emissions. Through the inclusion of a living wall and sedum roof, rainwater harvesting, solar PV and ASHP, the new building successfully achieved the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating and met ‘Excellent’ energy and water standards.

"Baxall Construction worked with SRE on this very challenging project, which needed to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating under Wandsworth planning guidelines. SRE took the lead in every step of the BREEAM process and it was their team-work approach that was refreshing in a BREEAM Consultancy. They offered the right advice to ensure this important aspect of the project was at the forefront of the concept, design, construction and operation and by helping us find the right solutions they kept the project on track for the BREEAM excellent rating."
