Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), North Stoneham Park, Eastleigh

Client:

Highwood Group

Main contractor:

VIVID Homes & Highwood Construction

Architect:

HGP Architects

As part of the wider North Stoneham Park project, the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) development includes a Care Village consisting of 91 close-care apartments, and a Village Care Centre providing 40 state-of-the-art no-care bedrooms, high-quality care suites and extensive communal facilities.

SRE are assessing the development under BREEAM NC 2014, multi-residential scheme to ensure an ‘Excellent’ rating is achieved. A Sustainability and Energy Statement, which incorporates a Low Zero Carbon Feasibility Study, has been provided to ensure lower energy and water use, reduced carbon emissions and lower operational costs than a Building Regulations-compliant design. SAP and SBEM modelling has also been undertaken to ensure compliance with local planning policy.

This scheme is being delivered by Highwood Construction & VIVID Homes for Cinnamon Retirement Living, with construction work set to begin late Summer 2020.

"We have been appointing SRE as BREEAM/Code assessors since 2014 and value their constructive input and advice throughout our various schemes progress. They provide a very personal service which complements Highwood’s approach."
