Passivhaus

Passivhaus is the world’s leading standard in energy efficient construction. It is an internationally recognised standard which can be applied to different building types and is increasingly being asked for by clients and progressive planning policy departments.

Passivhaus buildings provide a high level of occupant comfort whilst using very little energy for heating and cooling. This is achieved through accurate design modelling, high levels of insulation and ‘thermal bridge free’ construction, airtight building fabric and high-performance windows.

With two qualified Passivhaus designers/consultants on the SRE team, we are well equipped to provide specialist Passivhaus advice and certification for clients seeking to develop buildings with exemplar levels of energy performance. This specialist approach can be combined with other project requirements including Energy Statements and other assessment methodologies such as BREEAM.
