A mixed-use development of residential units and offices on a compact London site. The unique design incorporates a concrete basement and a timber frame construction above ground, clad in standing copper and fibre cement. The development is being built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 standards. SRE modelled the design and advised on how to address the stringent local planning policy requirements. As a result, the design incorporates mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, air source heat pumps, solar hot water and 10kWp of photovoltaics. The residential units achieve an 81% improvement in the Dwelling Emission Rate, far exceeding of the requirements.
