Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assesses the energy efficiency of a property rating A to G and recommends specific ways in which the efficiency of the property could be improved. Under Building Regulations Part L and the Buildings Energy Performance directive, EPCs are a legal requirement for all buildings being let or sold.
An EPC is generated from the SAP or SBEM software used to undertake energy calculations in support of Part L compliance and to demonstrate compliance with the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) 2018.
SRE’s highly experienced energy consultants help clients achieve the highest possible ratings for their new or existing buildings through modelling the designs and advising on the most suitable and cost-effective systems and fabric improvements.
